Hunter Mountain is the closest big mountain to NYC, and draws more of a hard-skiing and partying crowd. The trails split across four faces, separating beginners’ slopes from the faster traffic.

Windham is one of the best ski experiences in the Catskills with plenty of off-the-slope activities at the Adventure Park including tubing, snowmobiles, and ice skating.
